What's In Your Food?

Hey Sacred Bombshell,

Part of body love and self-love for me is being meticulous about everything that you put in your body. That includes knowing what’s in your food. For that reason, I have partnered with McDonalds to find out. Last time, we investigated their potatoes, as a recovering french fry addict that was super important for me! This time, we are talking about the eggs.

Q: So, McDonalds, how are your eggs prepared?

McDonalds via their site: Good question. Our breakfast menu items are all made with real eggs – they’re just prepared a little differently for each sandwich.

Round Egg:
We freshly crack a USDA Grade A egg into an ‘egg ring’ to get that iconic round shape for our Egg McMuffin.

Scrambled Eggs:
Our scrambled eggs are made with liquid eggs that are cooked fresh on our grill with margarine.

Egg Whites:
We use 100% egg whites in our Egg White Delight McMuffin, cooking them on our grill with margarine.

Folded Eggs:
Our folded eggs are made with liquid eggs that are pre-cooked and folded before being flash frozen by our suppliers. Once in our kitchens, they’re prepared on the grill with margarine.

Sausage Burrito Eggs:
Our suppliers pre-cook liquid eggs with ingredients that include sausage, tomatoes, green chiles, onions and seasonings before flash freezing them to help maintain their taste.
