She is also the first generation American daughter of multi-generational healers, seers, and farmers in Guyana, South America, who are descended from several West African nations. My great-grandmother in Guyana was a midwife and fertility healer. My grandparents were all farmers. My mother was raised by her aunt, family herbalist and intuitive. My father is a minister and journalist who worked with precious metals. My mom was a teacher. On both sides my people are intuitives, healers, artists, teachers and caretakers.”

With a Bachelor's Degree in sociology and creative writing from Sarah Lawrence, Masters Degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts in women’s media and storytelling, Abiola's coaching certifications include neuro-linguistic programming from American Union of NLP. Her practice includes teachings in mindfulness, emotional freedom technique, and intuitive mindset reprogramming. Abiola's first book "DARE," was published by Simon and Schuster, while her last book "The Sacred Bombshell Handbook of Self-Love" was the winner of an African American Literary Award for Best Self Help.

Abiola started out as a lifestyle journalist, popular columnist, documentarian and TV presenter.
