Lady Gaga naked on a magazine cover is not news. Super skinny Lady Gaga covered with meat is not really news either as we pretty much expect anything from the envelope-pushing singer at this point. Lady Gaga having a sandwich; now that would be news as author Maureen Callahan claims in a new biography that Lady Gaga was hospitalized 6 times in 2009 for issues related to dieting.
Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga hits stores on September 14th. In the book Maureen Callahan traces Lady Gaga’s journey from Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta to the biggest pop star on the planet. People who have worked with the super talented diva claim that Gaga is anorexic. The “official” causes for hospitalization from the Gaga camp include the old celebrity standards, “exhaustion” and “dehydration.”
However Lady Gaga’s body size is not the only alarm blazing in this photo. Lady Gaga was photographed for this cover of Vogue Hommes Japan (Japanese Vogue for Men) by controversial fashion photographer Terry Richardson. Richardson has been accused of sexual misconduct by several young models. His reputation is that of a lewd and lascivious photog who creates unsafe work environments for the young women around him. Accusations against Terry Richardson range from requested fellatio on the job to asking a model to play with her tampon!
Terry Richardson disputes the myriad sexual misconduct claims with a statement on his Tumblr blog citing, “I just want to take a moment to say I’m really hurt by the recent and false allegations of insensitivity and misconduct. I feel fortunate to work with so many extraordinary people each and every day. I’ve always been considerate and respectful of the people I photograph and I view what I do as a real collaboration between myself and the people in front of the camera.”
With all of the lust over True Blood, Twilight and vampires in general, it’s no surprise that fetishized dripping meat would be hot for some people. Ugh.
