I am excited and nervous about the premiere of my doc Knives in My Throat starring Taqiyya Haden. It will premiere this Thursday in NYC at NY Perks and then run online in 4 webisodes over the coming weeks. I finished the film years ago, and actually made several films since then but for many reasons, chose to shelve the film until now.

Knives in My Throat is an experimental, episodic documentary directed by Abiola Abrams, which chronicles a year in the life of poet/actress Taqiyya Hadden as she battles self-destructive urges.
