Tonight was my first time I believe participating in a reading series as an author.
Rachel Kramer Bussel, the writer for The Village Voice, and all around lovely person, hosts this series at one of the coolest little spots I’ve seen in a long time called Happy Endings. It had a faux exterior– Chinese restaurant or bodega, I’ve already forgotten– but then you go in and it’s an adorable gem of a lounge.
I read a deleted scene from my novel in progress to much applause. It was mucho fun..

I haven’t checked out RKB’s extensive library of reads yet, but I posted one of her books here in case you’d like to partake. Her work at the reading was fascinating, as were the other participants.
