[dropcap]E[/dropcap]avesdropping on the Signs:

Aries: “Everybody out of my way!” ~from Jan Spiller & Karen McCoy’s book “Spiritual Astrology”

To Aries Astro-Student/To the beginning Astrology Student:

Aries rules beginnings. It rules “new.” It sets off the Spring season. It sets in astro-motion the cosmic order of the zodiac. It SETS IT OFF!

Now, peep this, it rules the last to arrive too.

“The first shall be last (Pisces), and the last shall be first (Aries).

E.g.: One of my favorite fb-friends once posted how he’s gentle with all his daughters most of the time cept one, the baby. She’s just too much, too tomboyish…again, too much!  Most of the thread followed with comments of like energy in their family. I went on and added the cosmic reason for it all—the last to arrive arrives with Aries energy. He told she is in fact an Aries. I told him that that’s cool, but she’d exude that energy even if her sun sign wasn’t in like placement—having it there only DOUBLE the fiery lot.

Follow?

No?

OK, here’s another example. If you watch the “Braxton Family Values” TV show, the last of the sibling set, Tamar. Her sun sign is Pisces yet she gives hell (per her sister’s assessment) and upstages like an Aries would.

When she and Traci GOT INTO IT in the most previous aired episode and Traci made the “devil” comment, my mind immediately went to the film KYMATIC and how the narration defines the ego.

Tamar

*Traci, if you’re reading this, your sister arrived here in the “Aries station” per your sister line up (Gemini rules the middle child). Aries is ruled by Mars. Mars (Tamar) rules males. Mars is the restless warring planet. This combative energy pervades the planet. Comically speaking, can you see how and why y’all yield where she is concerned? It’s (the yield) is darn-near auto. Some viewers swear y’all (well, cept YOU, now) scared of her. I have to remind them that no, it’s her Aries station—that’s all.

It’s more of deeper psyche thing than you’d ever imagine.

Yet, again, Aries also rules beginnings. So if it is positive the hope is still there to begin again. Be patient. Study Aries/Ego and it’ll all make sense then. Yes, even some of the non-sense too.

Back to the main point.

Speaking of beginnings, allow me to share how I began this passion in astro-studies. It has always been with me, in me. Not insofar as to take out books from the library on the subject, no—not that earlier on anyway. But it’s just been Me! Example. A nostalgic share: When I was in fifth grade, some pals from the block went to a party, I couldn’t go—grounded. Who knows what the infraction was at the time? ‘Probably neglected to do the dishes, or something. Hi Mom. Anyway, that next day on the block, chillin’, they told me all about it. I was all in (into their share), then one said, “…we know what you wouldda been doing if you wuz there—

I’m thinking the next bars to pour from her lips would be along the lines of: snacking, giggling and dancing.

Nope. She continued, “…getting everybody’s birthdays.”

As strange as this may sound, but I knew I liked astrology, I just didn’t realize others noticed this too. I was so young—so oblivious. This is the 80s now, just off the heels of the 70s—when astro-speak was wildly popular (astrologically speaking, I now know why it shined so brightly during that decade), so they wondered why was I even still enmeshed in such interests to begin with. When I tell you that I was the only one in our clique, on our block, in our school, in our neighborhood, at that age, that spoke like that, trust—I WAS THE ONLY ONE. *Shrugs* I didn’t care. To be that young and not care about the opinions, the impression your interest makes on your peers? That’s Major! It’s as major as it is odd.

Peers and image? That’s all that matters when one is young. [Oh, “youth” also an Aries matter, and Aries greatly care about how they are viewed—not I, even during my Aries stage] Yet still, that [peer pressure] didn’t have a stronger hold over me than astrology. This firm stance made me wildly curious about myself as well as the science.

Aries, I’m getting to it—be patient. You know “impatience” is one of the core Aries descriptors. #justanothershare

Fast forward to junior high school, I am older, and yes, still astro-aware. I used to spend some weekends at an aunt’s house up in The Bronx. This particular aunt GARNERS all the attention from those around her—and if you don’t give it you could have a problem on your hands (gee, I gotta look and see where Aries is at in her chart? Lol…). One early Saturday morning, I noticed this biG book on her glass dining table…Like a moth to a flame, I was immediately drawn to the thick tome. Didn’t know the title yet, yet something pulled me to that table—and this time not in anticipation of breakfast. Nah, another kind of hunger was about to be fed.  I sat down and looked at it, handled it, then asked my aunt about it. She told me that it was a book to look up moon signs.

“Moon Signs?”

She responded “Yes. You’re not just your sun sign, you know.”

I opened the book followed the table-of-contents instruction and located what my moon sign was/is. Then looked up everyone else’s. I WAS HIGH!!! ‘Couldn’t quite explain it. But something had felt transformed in me. Grown. I was thirteen but felt thirty-one. And elders in the family must have “felt” this shift too cause the perpetual reminders of “YOU AIN’T GROWN!” soon followed.

I sat with that book for most of that weekend, and all the subsequent weekends (I visited) thereafter. And auntie allowed me to be and read too. Back then, she wasn’t exactly the personality type that allowed “being and reading.” No, attention MUST BE PAID—to who? Her!

I digressed.

Fast forward some more, forreal full grown, in my first Saturn Return—only I didn’t consciously know it. I’d soon discover so though. While walking the eight miles to work, I took a sudden detour, why? ‘Didn’t wanna walk pass Baskin & Robbins, fall weak and stop in to make a creamy purchase. That purchase would have made all the miles I just trekked for naught.

Walking pass a Poetry Theater, I noticed a flier hanging outside of it. Its text read something about a columnist coming to host a workshop. The columnist was one of my absolute favorites! ‘Had been reading her horoscope column since I was a kid. The opportunity to just meet her would have been great, let alone have her teach me in a workshop setting. I was ALL IN! I felt the urge to just snatch the flier from the glass (Aries energy/impulsive), take it wit’ me to work, post it in my locker there, so I wouldn’t forget to go. Then such a defacement felt like such disrespect. I took the time to take off my knapsack, go in it, grabbed a pen and something to write on.

As I’m jotting down the data from the flier, I realized that the workshop was for THAT DAY. And I zeroed in at the start time—the workshop had begun, it was in full swing as I stood there outside reading about it.

I don’t think I even took the time to return the pen and paper back to my knapsack. I was in the building and up the steps. Interfaced with someone that gave me direction, paid the fee and found a seat at the table.

I came in when the teacher was speaking about Pisces and who Pisces rules. I WAS AWED!

This kind of “feed” was far better than any ice cream cone I EVER consumed from Baskin & Robbins—from anywhere! And I’m a sweet-tooth foodie from way back! Such a sweet RUSH is only short-term gratification. What Mama Eye was teaching was without a doubt, LONG-TERM GRATIFICATION for yours in astro-wonder.

And watch this… As if that information wasn’t mind-blowing enough, someone goes and raises their hand to ask about the rulership of another group of people and the teacher calmly responds with one word: Aries.

The room fell silent…

Loud definitive silence, though.

As if ALL the cosmic dots finally connected collectively to all present: How the world was ran. How and why things are the way they were & the way they still are.

The truth I secretly sought, was finally revealed. Where? In $10 workshop I kinda stumbled in—or the Ancestors guided me to. Whichever one, I was humbly grateful to have been PRESENT. Right on time!

When you view the videos shared here in this article, see if your perception doesn’t perk a little when Alyssa leans in and states “…it’s the youngest sign…” , look in her eyes.

Knowing that the ego is an Aries entity. Knowing that Aries is the god of War. What is Ms. Sharpe really conveying?

Chaka KhanWhen legendary singer Chaka Khan was honored this year at the BET Honors ceremony, do you recall her acceptance speech? She spoke to when you’re feeling down, come out of yourself, stop making it about you, help someone else.

Baby, we all ROSE to cheers and tears! We knew that that was her Libra polarity ACTIVATED in that moment to the nth degree! And that’s evolution.

Aries is the “I Am” factor. Libra, Aries opposite, is the “But, what about the other person?” factor. This is humane concern reads as balance for Libra.

And you know what else? If you let it, it can read as balance for you too, Aries. <3

The other video shown showcases three supreme astrologers, teachers, ones I’ve learned a great deal from. *Multitudes of Gratitude*

Be sure to listen intently to what Ms. Grice says about Aries on the battlefield.

Aries

April, your month, the diamond month. It’s time to do what you do best, or at least the energy that governs your sun sign knows best: Start anew. Surrender to that idea they’ve been pitching—if you’re heart is in, why not dive all in? No fear. With Uranus still hanging out wit’ y’all, heavens knows you are afforded ample power to get the job done!

  • Mid-month, new moon time, better start date.
  • Keep the focus on positive goals not on the detractors.
  • Keep a gratitude journal.

Taurus

There could be some changes in love for you. Not a new person, though. You already know them. Suggestions: Please go slow, don’t engage in the act of copulation this month…if you can. ‘Cause by next month the amorous current could change directions. Enjoy their company in other ways for these thirty days.

This new interest in the person that’s not new at all will help to lessen any negative feelings you may have been holding on to—regarding them or whomever. This emotional transition is a good and needed thing. Heal the heart.

Gemini

Self-Acceptance, Self-love is in tall order this month. Where Taurus will feel “new” about the “old” you are likely to feel the same ole “old” about the “old.” And this stale sentiment is likely to be mutual. The twin sensation here is REAL.

Tip: Don’t jump to pre-empt messy matters by cuttin’ folk off before they cut you off. Not necessary, this friendly-weirdness may only last a short while. ‘Just embrace a sweet sabbatical from certain long-standing homies. Meet new faces. Embrace new dreams. Write them down and post them on a mirror.

You may note a forceful mental attitude gripping you this month—utilize this mercurial power wisely.

Cancer

With this “I Am”, me-first energy in current session this month, take advantage of it. Yes, this is your time to DO YOU! Remember your health. Tip: Juice fasts are good. It’s the season, soon come for all the fresh fruits—be sure they’re organic.

Engage only in activities {with others} you want to do. Yes, I know most Cancers hold a moody rep for doing this anyway, but this month it’s essential that you prize your “me time.”

When bored consider coppin’ one of those Kindle thingys; the kind that’s audible, it reads to you. Sleep to the sounds of great novels. If I could recommend an author, I’d recommend J. California Cooper for starters. A Cancerian hearing her “Wake of the Wind”, oh my… you’ll see. Happy Healing Sweet MoonChild. <3

Know that sincere calm collected energy attracts divinity.

Leo

Childhood haunts could either haunt you or surprise you by full-blown SHOWING UP. Be cool yet warm. Cool insofar as not appearing SHOCKED to see them. ‘Warm in reception. Forgive and forge ahead. Leave the past in the past. This is the only way Peace can be the guiding trail towards the future.

There could be a change in jobs or plans. Don’t let it get you down. Focus on what could be versus what was.

Virgo

You too. Like your cosmic next door neighbor, make peace with the past and a new sense of hope is yours—this month and possibly over all. Create! If you’re already creative and have a house full of quilts, jewelry, et cetera, you may wanna showcase the items you can part with. Make it pretty, serve wine and cheese, or whatever you like—but you create it. This is the month you can wave your wand and magically your desire could manifest. Wave wisely.

Libra

Singer Mya was once featured on one of those “Candid Camera” styled TV shows, I wanna say MTV’s “Punk’d” but I’m not for certain at this typing time. Anyhow, she comes to mind cause in the episode an actor was cast to play the person that won a free date with her and he was directed to act like a Plumb Fool in Love! Mya has sun sign in Libra. Ever balanced, ever beautiful, ever diplomatic—quintessential high end Libran lady traits. She didn’t Go Off on the guy, she gently counseled, paraphrasing“…well, you know you can’t force love.”

Watching TV that day, I smiled and said “…she’s a Libra.”

This sage principle is what I need you to hold on to this month, Lady Libra. Yes, you. You know whom I’m referring to.

The loneliness you may feel, will heal better if you don’t allow the undeserving in. Read what’s been suggested for Cancer above—when someone is reading good stories to you in bed or wherever—there’s a healing note there. Hold on to good literature this month versus bad manners—his.

Also, research the Flower Remedies. Find one that’ll suit your temperament.

Money looks good near month’s end. Be smart with it, about it.

Scorpio

There’s often advice about finding your inner child and embracing that. Not for you—no, not this month. Maturation is your divining rod. If it’s petty and pointless do not entertain it! You master this and your grown-up goals could manifest in general—but a cosmic aspect really helps you this month to achieve it.

Stay on your path, don’t engage any distractions. Saturn is serious with the Scorpion this season—you already know this. You gotta feel it!

Change your look—have fun with it. Avoid toxic foods and toxic people—especially  young males. If you are one of them [a toxic person], you can’t avoid yourself, no, but you can heal yourself. Get to work!

Sagittarius

Hopes may feel hampered. Rethink and regroup. Don’t operate in haste. Four people are shown or are you the fourth? Planning with them is okay, but be true to your own private plans too. Unexpected goodies are shown near month’s end; especially if your usual optimistic mind is alive and active. Be receptive to them. Let it do what it do!

Capricorn

The social scene could change. Flow with it. There’s nothing like experiencing new within the season that rules “new.” Most of you all aren’t too keen on making “new” when it comes to the circles you move in, but give it a try—it could wind up being a fascinating experience. If not, April has only thirty days in it, it’ll (the newness) be over before you know it.

While out, avoid shelling out. Yes, this month, feel free to be miserly & mighty! Be discipline with savings.

Aquarius

Abandon your comfort zone, yet don’t comprise it to the point it feels strangely uncomfortable, or worse—staunchly illogical. Trust yourself. Be confident. Be spontaneous. ‘Which for most Aquarians won’t be hard to do at all.

Cosmically speaking, coins read cute for you too nearing the end of the thirty. Tip: Play games of chance when feeling real sunny and real good!

Pisces

Experiment with the “Minimalist” lifestyle this month. You can research about it if unfamiliar with the term. You basically buy nothing you want, only items you need. The book “The Story of Stuff” by Annie Leonard comes to mind. In it the author speaks about how all the “stuff” and waste is harming the planet, therefore harming us.

Being frugal could also serve to greatly help your financial future. Save well. Save health.

Also, be wary of trying to keep the peace—blind beefin’ can be mindlessly moot—icky egonic to the max! Dangerous.

Advice? If you have no role in that production exit stage left.

Pranayama. Meditation. All calming centering practices.
