Hey Sacred Bombshell,

“Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent.” ~Steve Jobs

I have to admit, cool stuff crosses my desk every day. Because I have a platform as a professional big mouth, people who are aligned with you and me send me interesting things in the hopes that I will share them with you.

Much of it never sees the light of day as I have a personal policy to only share things that I genuinely feel you can benefit from.

Recently, I learned about a new offering from the DailyOm, a course called “Change Your Life with the Power of Death.” If you’re not familiar with the DailyOm, you should be. They were at the forefront of creating spiritually empowering tools online. I even had the wonderful honor of interviewing the founder of the DailyOm, Madison Taylor, for my Spiritpreneur School podcast. (Listen here>>>) I have a course on the DailyOm called “Clear Your Chakras to Attract Blessings.”

Now, when I saw the name of the course, “Change Your Life with the Power of Death,” it totally freaked me out. Like most of us, I HATE talking about death. Yet, it is a part of life. Just as we are born, we die. I come from a HUGE family. Each of my parents has 8 to 10 siblings, so I have tons of aunts, uncles and cousins. We have a lot of births and reasons to celebrate, but then as is life, we also experience a lot of death and reasons to grieve.

I remember when my Aunt Silvy died, and my cousin Junior was by her side. That day, I was all set to accompany my mother to the hospital. It was the day the family had agreed to unplug Aunt Silvy from life support. It was way back on December 4, 2004, but I am still crying today as a I write this. I didn’t go because i couldn’t deal. When my cousin Jr. called me, he said that her death was “beautiful.” He said that she was there for him when he took his first breath and he was there for her at her last breath.

There is healing and transformative power in acknowledging that each of us will die. That’s why i wholeheartedly recommend this DailyOm course from Gabriel Dee. Gabriel Dee teaches us that we are not afraid of death, but afraid that we didn’t use our lives enough. He invites us to breath in life and breathe out death. He also reminds us, “Don’t bring your dreams to the cemetery.

Here’s the course outline:

About the Course:

Do you lack motivation? Do you seldom finish what you started? Do you miss the spark from your life? It is not your fault. You simply lack a powerful tool and a good enough reason to do what you were set out to do. Even if you listened to motivational speakers before, your drive will last only a little bit longer than normally. In fact, the conventional knowledge about motivation is simply not effective enough or outright false.

To begin with, your goals are probably not even your real goals, they were given to you by others. Perhaps you don’t even know what you really want in life. Or maybe, it is not clear why you want what you want. Another common problem with motivation is that people often lose their willpower. Others do have will, but they always procrastinate.

In this course, you will learn about an unconventional method that turns the conventional wisdom about motivation to its head. This technique was invented by the Buddha, but it has not been widely used, because it seems so contradictory and radical at first. However, the lives of millions of people is the proof that it works. Although it „happened” to them by accident, now you can learn to use it consciously at will.

About Gabriel Dee:

Gabriel Dee is a mystic, author, spiritual teacher and the founder of Immortology. At the age of 26, he became a seeker, and became enlightened on the 11th of March, 2011. He experienced most of the spiritual methods of the world, and traveled to India to learn more about healing, hypnosis and meditation. His main teaching is making people face their own mortality, and then going beyond it to realize their immortality.

Thoughts on Death from A Course in Miracles, Lesson 167:
(A unique, universal, self-study spiritual thought system that teaches
that the way to Love and Inner Peace is through Forgiveness.)

In this world, there appears to be a state that is life’s opposite. You call it death. Yet we have learned that the idea of death takes many forms. It is the one idea which underlies all feelings that are not supremely happy. It is the alarm to which you give response of any kind that is not perfect joy. All sorrow, loss, anxiety and suffering and pain, even a little sigh of weariness, a slight discomfort or the merest frown, acknowledge death. And thus deny you live.

You think that death is of the body. Yet it is but an idea, irrelevant to what is seen as physical. A thought is in the mind. It can be then applied as mind directs it. But its origin is where it must be changed, if change occurs. Ideas leave not their source. The emphasis this course has placed on that idea is due to its centrality in our attempts to change your mind about yourself. It is the reason you can heal. It is the cause of healing. It is why you cannot die. Its truth established you as one with God.

Death is the thought that you are separate from your Creator. It is the belief conditions change, emotions alternate because of causes you cannot control, you did not make, and you can never change. It is the fixed belief ideas can leave their source, and take on qualities the source does not contain, becoming different from their own origin, apart from it in kind as well as distance, time and form.

Death cannot come from life. Ideas remain united to their source. They can extend all that their source contains. In that, they can go far beyond themselves. But they can not give birth to what was never given them. As they are made, so will their making be. As they were born, so will they then give birth. And where they come from, there will they return.
