When I came upon this glorious new hope sculpture in New York City, it started me thinking about hope vs. faith.

Oh, what sculpture?

Via The New York Daily News: “The artist synonymous with the iconic “Love” sculpture that has a new shutterbug-friendly sculpture in town. Robert Indiana’s $3 million, 13-foot tall, 3-ton pop art sculpture “Hope” was moved to the corner of 7th Ave. and 53rd Street [for] International Hope Day. The artist wants visitors to take selfies and post them to social media using the hashtag #HopeDay.”

Greetings Gorgeous,

What is hope really? Hope is possibility. Hope is the feeling that every moment is pregnant with the possibility of miracles, mojo, and magic. Yes!!

Is this a contradiction to faith, though, a knowingness that all really is well? I don’t see it that way. Hope is I am wanting everything to work out; faith is I know it’s already working out.

Faith is everything, the evidence of things not yet seen. But we still need hope.

Absolute belief sprinkled with hope on top for those all too human #sacredbombshell moments where absolute belief ain’t exactly so absolute is the bees knees.

Signed, Abiola
