It’s a yoga-lution! I was invited to be a part of Stayfree® pads My Yoga Online Change Challenge. This is pretty exciting because it reminds me of how far I’ve come, especially with my body love. By the way, although this is a sponsored post, as usual, my fab opinions are all my own.

When I was in high school, gym class was the bane of my existence. I would try to use having my period to get out of it — but I went to an all-girls school so it never worked. They knew that having my moon time was no excuse for not participating in my life. Laughing at myself!

The Body Love, Body Acceptance, Body Bliss Healing Retreat!

Hey Sacred Bombshell,

Let’s talk about body love and yoga…

There’s a joke that goes, just tell me what you don’t like about yoga. Then the other woman says, the stretching and the breathing part. I totally get that — and for years I agreed, but those were also the most unhealthy years of my life. I was an overeating workaholic, living in my head and fully out of touch with my body.

Here’s a secret — last year, one of my personal goals was to get a yoga certification, just for me. Life got in the way and I didn’t make that happen, so it is again on the agenda for this year. For me, moving my body in this way is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.

The cool thing about yoga is that you don’t need to hop on the bandwagon and go full on yogini if it’s not what you’re into. However, everyone, no matter how old or young, can benefit greatly from adding a bit of yoga to your routine. (To the best of your ability of course.) No matter what your objection is, there’s a type of yoga that will appeal to you.

Let’s start at the beginning. Yoga is an ancient mind-body-spirit art that includes meditation, focus and relaxation. Some folks stop there but this practice also helps many people achieve their physical, mental and spiritual goals. If yoga has seemed pretty hyped up recently it’s for a reason. Yoga can make a positive difference in your life.

My job is to help Big Vision Women answer their calling and follow the bliss that they deserve. Your heart, your body, your mind, and your spirit are all an integral part of your success. This is why I teach meditation as a part of my empowerment coaching. Adding yoga to your life via workout regimen is great for feeling good in your skin, your physical abilities, and your mental, emotional, and spiritual balance.

How yoga can bombshell your body love — and your big, sacred, juicy life:

1. Greater (and More Youthful) Flexibility.

Of course, you’ll increase your flexibility. Young bodies are limber bodies. Yoga helps us stay youthful at any age. Have you seen those amazing octogenarian and septuagenarian yoginis? Talk about beautiful body love! I want to be like them when I grow up! You’ll become more flexible as you practice. For beginner yoga, much of the class is spent stretching. (I need this!) These stretches create limber, lovely, flexible muscles and subsequently a more flexible goddess.

2. Improved Posture and Body Love.

As a woman owning her magnificence and her body love, you want to have open, strong posture. The cool thing is that all of the yoga poses and stretching will eventually lead to amazing posture!

Slumping at your desk, slouching when watching TV, and hoisting your bag in lazy ways plus those incorrect yoga postures you were previously comfortable with will suddenly become extremely uncomfortable. You’ll stand upright when you’re waiting in line as opposed to leaning on something for support. Bonus: You may even get rid of any back pains you might have had prior to starting yoga. Now walk into the room like you own it.

3. Better Breathing.

Take a nice, deep, body love, fat belly breath. Not a wimpy little shallow breath. No sucking in here. When we take a true deep breath, the belly goes out.

It always comes back to the breath. Almost every coaching program I have incorporates the power of meditation and just breathing. Yoga increases your lung capacity. Many of the yoga poses and stretches are accompanied by specific breathing methods. (Like the 4/4/4 breath.) Eventually your increased lung capacity will allow you to endure longer physical challenges. When your emotions or overwhelm get the best of you, take a breath.

4. Less Stress, Less Stress, Less Stress.

Ohm break! We as women are often stressed and overwhelmed. In addition to body love, yoga helps to relieve the stresses of life. The sacred breathing techniques, meditation, and muscle stretches and poses can relax the mind and muscles. Just considering it is relaxing, isn’t it? Both your physical and mental stress are being reduced. You know how many of our illnesses are stress related? Yoga can be an incredible health booster overall.

Of course, this is a good time to tell you that everything here is for informational purposes only. For you to rock your own life and take full responsibility for your own wellbeing, you need to check with your own doctor or medical personnel to know what’s best for you.

5. Increased Wonder Woman Strength.

Who wants to be weaker? Yeah! I am guessing you didn’t raise your hand. Yoga trains your beautiful body to create poses that require incredible physical strength. Don’t let the yoga pants fool you. Yoginis are powerful divas. You might not feel it when doing the poses but you may realize as time goes on how much stronger you’ve become. Again, yeah!

Overall, as a yoga goddess you’ll feel more at peace. Yoga will have you feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to take on whatever life throws your way. Yoga will build your bombshell body and healthy body love and acceptance, and most importantly your resilient sacred bombshell mind.

All of the power is yours, gorgeous. Sign up for a class or find one on TV. You can also consider joining a fun online class or community
