The Orishas questioned the necessity of Olodumare, the Creator. Angered, he caused a drought. Oshun wanted to help but everyone mocked her youth. She transformed into a peacock and set off on a long flight to Olodumare. She lost her feathers and beauty on the flight, becoming a vulture. Moved by her courage and sacrifice, Olodumare designated Oshun as his only messenger.

Healing Ritual:

Blend spring water with a drop of essential oil (e.g., lavender) in a bowl. As you stir, visualize the water absorbing transformative energy.
