Hey Rockstars,

Why would you want to spread love around? Simple. Because love makes the world a better place! You can lift someone up who was in a dark place just by being loving towards them. You can brighten someone’s day, make someone happy, and you can become someone who people enjoy being around just by spreading a little love.

Every day that you wake up you spread some sort of energy around, whether you are aware of it or not. Without knowing it you may spread anger, hate, jealousy, bitterness, tension, anxiety or some other negative emotion through your actions and interactions with people. But if you are conscious of what you are doing, how you are acting, and what you are putting out into the world then you can choose to spread love instead.

How To Spread More Love

1. Follow The Golden Rule.

Treat others the way you want to be treated. This is really the easiest, and yet most powerful way to spread love.

When you are interacting with others try to really feel how they feel, understand where they are coming from, and put yourself in their shoes. This will allow you to see others in a light that shows their human side that you can relate to.

For instance, if that grumpy old guy is yelling at you again about walking too close to his lawn, and all you see is the anger and bitterness in him, then you need to take a closer look. He probably has a lot of hurt inside of him to make him get upset about something that doesn’t really matter. So instead of yelling back at him, try to see that he is not in a good place and treat him in a manner that you would want to be treated if you were not in a good place.

2. Think Like a Kid.

I’m watching the kids from a local daycare walk by my window right now, and I could think of no other way to title this point. They are enjoying this very moment, as is. They are waving at some big trucks going by without anger or hate in their heart. They are just excited to be alive.

This point is really about living in the moment. When you are living in the moment you are in tune with what is going on around you, and you can’t help but feel a certain amount of excitement and love for the moment at hand.

Living in the moment is about enjoying yourself and being aware of the great things that are around you. You appreciate a flowers scent more. You appreciate that big trucks are cool and the people in them are fun to wave at. You appreciate that the sun is shining, the world is turning, and that you are alive in this very moment.

When you are in this state it is easy to spread love. You are feeling good, you are aware of the things that are making you happy, and you can’t help but spread that energy to everyone you come into contact with verbally or non-verbally.

3. Stop Judging Others.

When you judge others you become someone who spreads judgement, not love. Pointing fingers and making judgement calls based on your beliefs, morals, and opinions is not the way to spread love. You will only cause people to resent you or back away from you.

What you want to do is realize that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. This goes back to the golden rule and understanding where people are coming from. Once you see that everyone has a different and unique perspective of the world then you will be able to remove your judgments away and allow yourself to open up to their views and opinions. This isn’t about saying they are right. It’s about allowing them to express who they really are without you judging them – and that’s a huge way to make them feel loved and validated.

Remember, spreading love will not only make you feel better, it will make everyone around you feel better as well. So follow the golden rule, live in the moment, and stop judging others. If you do, you will find that your heart will be bigger and you will feel that warm sensation of love more often.
