ABIOLA’S CHOCOLATE SYRUP BROWNIES

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. canned chocolate-flavored syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract – optional
1 c. chopped walnuts or other nuts – optional

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs until well blended. Stir in flour, chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts. Turn into greased and lightly floured 9-inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until tester inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 16 squares. Remove from pan and store airtight. 16 brownies.

Preparation time: 15 minutes.
